Talk @ Bogota JS | Bogota, Colombia
TL;DR: Quick review on how to compile io.js (node.js) for Firefox OS or ARM devices, and how to use it to access Node APIs from web applications.
Description: With a new player in the Node world, io.js, the possibilities to expand Node.js to other platforms like ARM devices is getting bigger. Firefox OS is a web based OS on top of AOSP. So, current toolchain to compile Node for Android can be used to compile Node.js for Firefox OS too. We are going to talk about what this means for an ecosystem like Firefox OS and how to expose Node.js APIs to use them when creating Firefox OS apps.
